There are different ways the Constitution can be changed. First of all through formal amendments, but also through informal means. These informal changes have been caused by political parties and customs that have affected the development of government institutions in ways not forseen in 1787. Even though these developments have not altered a single word of the document, they have changed the meaning of parts of the Constitution.

1.) Name 3 of the 5 informal changes that have taken place throughout our governments history.
2.) For each of the 3 informal changes, state whether that kind of change is good for the United States, why or why not.

2) Legislative acts is good becuase the changes are made by the representatives that we elect into office. Executive actions, are ok but need to be regulated more strictly due to past fears of power hungry presidents. Supreme COurt Decisions, are good as well becauase again, it is the representatives we feel are suitable to achieve that position.

things that the congressed has changed, things that tehe prez has changed, and stuff that has happened with the supreme court. honestly i believe that the only bad thing that the americans have ever done bad was getting invovlved with the middle east stuff.

2. The legislative was a vey good one because they make alot of the big dog decisions. Executive because he is the president and runs the show. Lastly the supreme court because it is the highest court that there is.
1.) Legislative- I think this is good for the U.S because they collect taxes and lay them out which is a good because if we weren't getting taxed the U.S wouldn't have any money.
2.)Executive- I also think this is good because they deal with troops and declaring war.
3.) Supreme- This is good for the US because its holds action, Congress and the executive branch accountable.

I think that this was a good change because the government needs to be involve. It's also good because it's wery broad so as time changes it's easier to change something broad rather than something very specfic.
2)Executive Actions
I tihnk this is good because it gives the President control but it also makes him have to go through Congress so he isn't dictating everything and if he isn't doing domething everyone agrees with the Congress has a hand in it to change it.
3)Political Parties
I think that political parties are needed. It gives our country more diverity and I think you get looks from every opinion instead of just one.

2.)legislative is good because they lay and collect taxes, regulate commerce, and raise and support armies. Executive actions is good because that is basicly the presidents area and job. Supreme courts decisions are good because they hold actions of states, congess, and the executive branch accountable.
Political parties, executive actions, and legislative acts. Political parties change I think is neither good nor bad for the United States. Sure it helped to distinguish between conservative people and liberal people, but it also has caused a lot of hatred and bitterness between the two parties through the years. So it has its pros and cons. Executive actions change I think is good because it gives the President some loopholes to send troops overseas and/or to war. The Constitution states the Congress declares war but the President can send troops without making any declaration of war. The executive actions change is also good for the United States because it provides executive agreement. This makes things easier for the President to negotiate with leaders of foreign nations. The legislative acts change I think is good because it states things very general and leaves a lot of room for Congress to add and change things. Also I think it is good because of the enabling act.

2.)*Legislative Acts- pretty much says, because the Constitution isn't very detailed, the Congress is allowed to interpret it how ever they like. I think this is a good deal. Because its up to their interpretation, they can make it so laws are more custom to our needs.
*Executive Acts- says, that in certain cases, its okay for the President to assume the power to declare war. I really don't think this should be okay. Congress is supposed to do it so the President should just back off.
*Supreme Court decisions- they interpret the meaning and application of the Constitution when questions arise. I think this is good because, this way, not everone can put their opinion in and cause a big quarrel. There would be set people who would decide and that would be the end of it.

B)Legislative is a good I think because it is just saying that the constitution is vrey broad and therefore the Congree can interpret the rules whatever way they like. I think this is for the most part good but can be bad, because if you don't like what the Congress person is saying your kind of in a pickle.
The executive actions is just saying that the Congress can declare war, and that the President can call on the troops to carry out federal laws. Presidents often perfer executive agreements becuase they can be negotiated quickly. I guess I don't really know if this is a good or a bad change. It seems ok to me.
And last the Supreme court decisions must interpret meanings and applications of the Constitution. They hold the executive branch and Congress accountable. Overall I think it is a good change. To have someone keep others accountable that way no one gets to overpowered and everything stays regulated!
The Legislative act is one informal change. This provides a general frame work for the legislative branch and gives Congress certain powers and duties. This is good because there is no set rule for anything. Congress can lay and collect taxes for example or they can regulate commerce. The Article One is just guidelines for the Congress to follow.
Another one is Supreme Court decisions gives the Supreme Court a decision in law making. This is good because they must judge issues that the Constitution never mentions. They have ruled that racially segregated schools are unconstitutional and wiretaps are illegal without a search warrant.
Political Parties are another informal change. I think this is good and bad. This is good because it allows people to join a side of what they believe in. This is bad though because it divides our country up into two groups when we should really be one.

2. For legislative acts it can be bad because if Congress thinks an act should be passed they r authorized to pass whatever laws they need to to make the amendment effective. For Supreme court its good because it brings up issues that aren't mentioned in the Constitution. And for changes through custom its good because for the prestidents cabinet they use to use the spoil system and now its different and we have people in there that actually know what they're doing.

Supreme Court Decisions are good because just like the Legislative Acts, they are made by representatives for the good of the people.
Changes through Customs are good also because, customs do change over time.
Legislative acts, Political Parties, and changes through custom are three of the five informal changes in our government. I think all these things are good things for our government because there are so many small things that the government needs to be able to do. If for every small detail of our government we had to go through the whole amendmant process nothing would ever get done. For legislative acts the congress neeeded to be able to enforce law without changing the constituion every time. For political parties it gives us two sides of an opinion so that we don't just follow anything. Changes through custom are good because as time passes so does the way we act. So it's good we can change things through custom.
Three informal methods of change are legislative acts, executive actions, and Supreme Court decisions. The Legislative is good because the constitution is too broad and needs changing. Executive actions are at times not good because they aren’t always in the constitution. The Supreme Court decisions have been really good in my because of decisions like Brown vs. Board of Education.
